Come and See 2025: A Bold Invitation for Clergy and Laity to Imagine What’s Next
By Bener Agtarap

Presented by The National Network of United Methodist Congregational Developers in Collaboration with Path 1 at Discipleship Ministries
As the Executive Director of Path 1, I am thrilled to endorse Come and See 2025, an inspiring and practical gathering hosted by the Missouri Conference of The United Methodist Church. This event is especially for clergy and laity who feel called to reach new people in new ways – through multicultural, intergenerational, and nontraditional forms of church.
If your local church is sensing a tug from the Holy Spirit to expand its reach, plant a new ministry, or create fresh expressions of faith in your neighborhood, this is the event for you.
Here’s why you should come:
- You’ll hear honest, powerful stories from everyday leaders—pastors, laypeople, innovators—who are creating new communities of faith that reflect the diversity and vibrancy of God’s kingdom.
- You’ll gain practical tools and coaching to help you move from ideas to action – whether that means launching a new worshiping community, hosting a dinner church, starting a neighborhood-based Bible group, or engaging with people on the margins.
- You’ll find community with others who share your passion and calling – people who are also asking, “What if church could be something more, something new?”
The church's future is being written by leaders willing to step out in faith, take risks, and reach people who may never enter a traditional sanctuary. Come and See is your opportunity to discern that call more clearly and take the next faithful step.
Whether you’re clergy or lay, seasoned or new to this work, your leadership matters. And we need you.
I invite you to bring a team, bring your questions, bring your passion—and join us in this movement of hope and possibility.
Let’s come and see what God is doing—and be ready to join in.
