Small-Group Resources:
Many of you shared in the previous challenge that you wanted small-group study opportunities, so this year we’ve created weekly small-group materials for you to use locally. Could your existing small group use them? Could you form a new group? Could you ask your pastor or church leader to help start one?
- Small Group Study Guideline
- Small Group Romans 1-7 (Zoom recording will be added here for each week)
- Small Group Romans 8-16
- Small Group 1 Corinthians 1–7
- Small Group 1 Corinthians 8–16
- Small Group 2 Corinthians 1–6
- Small Group 2 Corinthians 7–13
Optional weekly Zoom small group led by Rev. Mantu Joshi on Sundays at 7 p.m., EDT, starting June 15. Click here to access the Zoom link.
Rev. Mantu will offer parallel reflections on “Mondays with Mantu “on YouTube at 8 a.m. CDT each Monday during the study. These reflections can enhance participants’ weekly meditation, whether used during a prayer walk through nature, resting with earbuds in, or enjoying a favorite chair and a hot beverage. The video reflections are available any time after they are posted and can be an optional supplement to the small-group journey.
Resources for Deeper Study:
If you'd like to explore Romans and Corinthians further, here are some recommended resources from Cokesbury that can be used in a group setting or on your own:
- Invitation to Romans: A Short-Term Disciple Bible Study – View Resource
- Romans: A Disciple's Bible Study – View Resource
- Romans and Corinthians: A Theological Commentary on the Bible – View Resource
- Immersion Bible Studies: I and II Corinthians – View Resource
- 1 Corinthians: Searching the Depths of God – View Resource
- This summer’s Adult Bible Studies quarterly curriculum, published by Cokesbury, also focuses on 1 Corinthians, making it a great companion to this challenge. Click here to explore more.
Facebook Community Group:
To foster a supportive and engaging community, we have created a closed Facebook group for participants. This will be a space for sharing reflections, asking questions, and connecting with others on the same path. Please join us there to enhance your experience and contribute to our collective journey. This year, we have a theologian who will respond to your theological questions. Click here to join the group.
